Lesson Learned:  God gives us many blessings.

Materials Needed:  balloons, markers

Bible Verse:
Numbers 6:22-27
22 The LORD said to Moses, 23 “Tell Aaron and his sons, ‘This is how you are to bless the Israelites. Say to them:

 24 “‘“The LORD bless you
   and keep you;
25 the LORD make his face shine on you
   and be gracious to you;
26 the LORD turn his face toward you
   and give you peace.”’
 27 “So they will put my name on the Israelites, and I will bless them.”

Talking Points:  Having God in our lives is a blessing.   It gives us hope and meaning.  Hope is a blessing and a joy to have!  Blessings can come in many forms–it could be that you are healthy or that your mom/dad cooked your favorite food for dinner or that you got to go to Sunday school and worship God today.

Questions:  What blessings has God given you today? Have you thanked Him for each of those blessings?

Activity:  Blow up two or more balloons.  Draw a face on one of the balloons and then let the child do the same.  Shine the face toward each other after you’ve drawn the faces on the ballons.

Prayer:  Dear God, please shine Your face on us today and everyday and give us Your peace. Amen!
