Psalm 96:1-6
1 Sing to the LORD a new song;
sing to the LORD, all the earth.

proclaim his salvation day after day.
3 Declare his glory among the nations,
his marvelous deeds among all peoples.
sing to the LORD, all the earth.
2 Sing to the LORD, praise his name;
proclaim his salvation day after day.
3 Declare his glory among the nations,
his marvelous deeds among all peoples.
4 For great is the LORD and most worthy of praise;
he is to be feared above all gods.
5 For all the gods of the nations are idols,
but the LORD made the heavens.
6 Splendor and majesty are before him;
strength and glory are in his sanctuary.
Talking Points: God is great and worthy of praise. We should sing about Him and tell everyone about how great God is. He does so many things for us and we should always tell people about all those marvelous things.
Questions: Do you like to sing songs to God? What is your favorite song to sing? Where do you usually sing about God? (church, Sunday school, before meals?)
Activity
Sing some of your child’s favorite Bible songs about God.
My child’s favorite Bible song is Father Abraham.
Prayer: Dear Lord, please keep your words and your praises in our hearts and in our minds always. We want to boldly sing about your love to everyone we meet. Amen!
