Lesson Learned: Jesus will return to earth one day, riding on the clouds.
Materials Needed: blue construction paper, cotton balls, glue

At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and all the nations of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky, with power and great glory.
Matthew 26:64
64 “You have said so,” Jesus replied. “But I say to all of you: From now on you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven.

7 “Look, he is coming with the clouds,”

Talking Points: Jesus died many years ago and went to heaven to be with His Father. He died for our sins so that one day we, too, could go to heaven. He will come back to earth someday though, riding on clouds. Everyone on the earth will see how great Jesus is when they see Him on the clouds.
Questions: What color are clouds? Have you ever looked at clouds and thought maybe you could see a dog or a dragon or a Bible in on of them? What do you think it would be like to see Jesus riding a cloud?
Activity:
Use glue to stick the cotton balls (clouds) onto a blue piece of construction paper. Form the cotton balls into shapes if you desire.
Prayer: Dear Lord, we long for the day that You will return to earth from the heavenly clouds and will reign over us in peace one day. You are mighty and strong and we know all eyes will see You coming one day. Amen.
