Lesson Learned: God provides.

Materials Needed:  construction paper (at least one green sheet), scissors, glue
Bible Verse:
Luke 12:27-28
27 “Consider how the wild flowers grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 28 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today, and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, how much more will he clothe you—you of little faith!

Talking Points:  God created everything and He takes care of all His creation.  He made the beautiful flowers, and He waters them with rain and gives them soil to grow in.  He made birds and He makes sure there are bugs and worms for them to eat.  He made us, too, and He will make sure we have the things we need.  God provides!

Question:  Who provides your food everyday?  How does God provide it for you? Can you thank Him for giving us all we need?

Activity:  Cut out a green strip of construction (the grass) and tape it on top of another full sheet.  Have the child help you cut stems out of the green construction paper.  Using a different color, rip several squares and have the child crumple it up.  Next, glue the crumbled paper onto the top of the “stems” to make flowers.

Prayer:  Thank You, God, for all You provide.  We are so glad You take care of us and we do not need to worry about these things. Amen!
