Lesson Learned: God knows everything.
Materials Needed: bag, various items to put in the bag from around the house, e.g. spoon, bowl, toy, washcloth, crayon, etc.
Bible Verse:
Isaiah 46:10
I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say: My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.
1John 3:20
20 If our hearts condemn us, we know that God is greater than our hearts, and he knows everything. 2
Talking Points: God knows everything and He can see everything. He knows how the world was formed, how the world will end and everything in between. He even knows what you are thinking right now.
Questions: What are you thinking about right now? Did you know that God already knew that before you said it?
Activity:
Put the items in the bag. Ask the child if they know what is in the bag. Tell them they do not, but God does. Then, let them feel the items in the bag and try to guess what they are.
Prayer: Lord God, You know all things. Please help us to never doubt Your knowledge or Your ways. Amen.
