Lesson Learned:  Jesus wants us to love all people, just like He loves all people.
Materials Needed:  play-doh
Bible Verse :
Matthew 5:43-48
43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. 46 If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? 47 And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? 48 Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.
Talking Points:  Yesterday we learned about Jesus dying and then being raised from the dead to go to Heaven.  He did this for ALL people.   He loves every single person on the Earth and He wants us to treat everyone with love too, even if it’s hard for us to get along with that person.
Questions:  Is there someone in your life that you can pray for that you can love more?  Are you glad Jesus loves everyone?
Activity:
Let your child build something he or she loves out of the play-doh.
Prayer:  Dear Lord, You love all people and You want us to love all people too. Help us to love everyone in our lives and take away mean thoughts we may have of others. Amen.
