Lesson Learned: God wants us to be full of the Holy Spirit.
Materials Needed: brown paper bag, pencil, cotton balls, hole punch, string or ribbon
Bible Verse:
Ephesians 5:18b-20
Instead, be filled with the Spirit, 19 speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord, 20 always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Acts 4:31
31 After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.
Talking Points: Sometimes we do things that are not nice. We take toys from our brother or sister; we push, or we say “no” to our moms and dads. God does not want you to be filled with these bad things; He wants you to be filled with the Holy Spirit. Being filled with the Spirit of God helps you to not do these bad things, but instead helps you to love other people, help others, and obey God and be thankful for all the wonderful things in your life.
Questions: Does God want you to be filled with the Holy Spirit? How will you treat people if you are filled with the Holy Spirit? How should you not treat people if you are filled with the Holy Spirit?

Stuffed Bear
Step 1: Draw the outline of a bear on the brown paper sack.
Step 2: Fold the sack in half and cut out the bear (so you will have two bears. Let the child decorate.
Step 3: Punch holes around the bear.
Step 4: Let the child lace the string through the holes to sew the two bear parts together. Leave 2 holes unlaced so you can stuff the bear.
Step 5: Stuff cotton (representative of the Holy Spirit) into the bear.
Step 6: Finish lacing the bear and knot the string so that that
stuffing will not fall out.
Prayer: Dear God, help us to be full of the Holy Spirit. Help us to love one another and be kind to all. Amen!
