Lesson Learned:  God wants us to make good fruits.
Materials Needed: construction paper, tape, scissors
Bible Verse :
Galatians 5:22-23
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
Talking Points:  God wants us to treat others with love, kindness, and goodness.  When we do what our moms and dads tell us to do or when we obey our teachers, God likes that.  When we share our cookies with our friends or wait patiently for our lunch, God likes that.  These acts of kindness are called fruits in the Bible.
Questions:  Does God like it when you are nice to your friends?  Why should you do what your parents tell you to do?  What’s something nice you can do for someone today?
Activity:
Make a tree that you can hang up on the wall with the child.  Cut out circles for fruit and label them with words from the verse above (joy, love, kindness, etc).  Throughout the day (or week), whenever you see the child doing something good (a fruit), have them tape the fruit onto the tree.
Prayer:  Dear Lord, we long to make only good fruits.  Help us to be loving, patient, kind, and gentle to all those we meet today. Amen!
