Talking Points:
Have you been Christmas shopping with your mom or dad to buy presents for your family? We exchange presents at Christmas time to remind us of Jesus’ special birth and to celebrate His special birthday. God gives us many, many things, but the BEST present we will ever get is Jesus. God sent Jesus to earth from Heaven because He loved us so much. Can you thank God right now for such a wonderful present?
Questions: Do you like getting and giving presents? What was your favorite present you ever received or gave someone else? Why is it fun to give presents?
Activity: Show the child how to wrap a box and let them help. Decorate it with ribbons if you’d like.
Prayer: Dear Lord, You are our great provider and You give us everything we need. Thank You so much for giving us Your Son, Jesus, at Christmas time. He is the best present. Amen!
