Lesson Learned: We can see God everywhere.

Materials Needed: none

Bible Verse:
Psalm 19:1-4
 1 The heavens declare the glory of God;
   the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
2 Day after day they pour forth speech;
   night after night they reveal knowledge.
3 They have no speech, they use no words;
   no sound is heard from them.
4 Yet their voice goes out into all the earth,
   their words to the ends of the world.
In the heavens God has pitched a tent for the sun.

Talking Points:  God created everything and we can see his handiwork in everything, even the skies.  During the day, we see beautiful clouds fill the sky and the bright sun is amazing.  It lights up the whole world.  At night, when the sun sets, the sky turns all orange and pink, just like God painted the sky all those colors.   Because God made all these things, we can see His glory and His radiance in everything He created, especially the sky above.  Everyone, in all parts of the earth can see the sky and now God made it!

Questions:  What color is the sky when the sun comes up?  What color is it when the sun goes down?  Do you see stars at night or during the day?  When can you see the sun?

Activity:  Watch a sunrise or sunset with your child today. If wake times/bed times don’t allow that, spend some time laying on your back and looking up at the clouds with your child.

Prayer:  Heavenly Father, thank You for making the sun and moon and stars.  Thank You for creating us! Amen!
