Lesson Learned: God wins all His battles.
Materials Needed: none
Bible Verse:
Isaiah 42:13
The LORD will march out like a mighty man, like a warrior he will stir up his zeal; with a shout he will raise the battle cry and will triumph over his enemies.
Talking Points: God is fighting a battle against evil. Someone who fights in a battle is often called a warrior. God is a mighty warrior and will win every fight that He fights.
Questions: Who is God fighting? Will He win?
Activity: Explain to the child that warriors often march and show them what marching looks like. Then have the child march with you around the house, singing songs for God.
Here’s a good song to sing while you march:
I’m In The Lord’s Army
(To the tune of The Old Gray Mare)
I may never march in the infantry
Ride in the cavalry
Shoot the artillery
I may never fly o’er the enemy
But I’m in the Lord’s army!
Yes Sir!
I’m in the Lord’s army!
Yes sir!
I’m in the Lord’s army!
Yes sir!
I may never march in the infantry
Ride in the cavalry
Shoot the artillery
I may never fly o’er the enemy
But I’m in the Lord’s army!
Yes sir!
Prayer: Dear God, we’re so glad we can march with you in your battle over evil. We are so glad you win every time. Amen!
