Lesson Learned:  God wants everyone to hear us when we share about Him.
Materials Needed:  none
Bible Verse:
John 11:14, 17
14 So then he told them plainly, “Lazarus is dead, 15 and for your sake I am glad I was not there, so that you may believe. But let us go to him.”
17 On his arrival, Jesus found that Lazarus had already been in the tomb for four days.
John 11:38-43
38 Jesus, once more deeply moved, came to the tomb. It was a cave with a stone laid across the entrance. 39 “Take away the stone,” he said.

“But, Lord,” said Martha, the sister of the dead man, “by this time there is a bad odor, for he has been there four days.”
40 Then Jesus said, “Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?”
41 So they took away the stone. Then Jesus looked up and said, “Father, I thank you that you have heard me. 42 I knew that you always hear me, but I said this for the benefit of the people standing here, that they may believe that you sent me.”
43 When he had said this, Jesus called in a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out!” 44 The dead man came out, his hands and feet wrapped with strips of linen, and a cloth around his face.
Jesus said to them, “Take off the grave clothes and let him go.”

Talking Points:  Lazarus was inside a tomb, or cave, and he could not come out because he was dead.  Jesus stood in front of his tomb and yelled, “Lazarus, come out!”  He did it in a loud voice so that all would hear Jesus. He wanted to make sure that everyone around knew that it was God that made Lazarus walk and come out of the tomb.  We don’t need to be embarrassed or afraid to talk about God. When He is in your life, shout about it so everyone knows.
Questions:  Why did Jesus use a loud voice?  Who did He heal?
Tell the child to repeat what Jesus said in a loud voice. Then, tell them to practice with a quiet voice.  Alternate between the two.
Prayer:  Holy Lord, only you have the power to heal and bring people back to life.  Thank you for letting us hear your word and keep us in it every day! Amen!
