God’s Gifts

Lesson Learned:  God gives us gifts because He loves us.

Materials Needed:  box, wrapping paper, scissors, tape

 ⁹ “Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? ¹⁰ Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? ¹¹ If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!

Talking Points:  God, our heavenly Father, is always giving us gifts.  He gives us these gifts because He cares about us and loves us.   

Questions:  Has your daddy or mommy ever given you a gift? Did you have to unwrap it?  What do you like about getting and giving gifts?

Have the child help you wrap a present. As an alternative, you could wrap the present beforehand and have them open it.

Prayer:   Heavenly Father, you are so generous and loving to us.  We thank you for all the gifts you give us and how you answer our prayers faithfully. In your name, we pray. Amen!
