Lesson Learned: God has great things for us to see.
Materials Needed: construction paper, scissors, crayons
Bible Verse:
Proverbs 20:12
12 Ears that hear and eyes that see– the LORD has made them both.
1 Corinthians 2:9-10
9 However, as it is written:
“What no eye has seen,
what no ear has heard,
and what no human mind has conceived”—
the things God has prepared for those who love him—
10 these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit.
Talking Points: God gave us eyes so we could see all the wonderful things around us. One day, we’ll go to Heaven and see even more wonderful and amazing things. We can’t even imagine all the great things God has in store for those people that go to Heaven.
Questions: What do you think Heaven will be like? What do you hope to see there?
Activity: Cut out a pair of glasses from the construction paper. If the child wants, let them decorate them with stickers. Let the child try on the glasses and ask them what they can see with the eyes God has given them.
Sing the Proverbs 20:12 verse to the tune of “Pop Goes the Weasel”. This will also help you and the child memorize the verse.
Prayer: God, thank you for eyes and ears to see and hear. We are excited to see what You have in store for us one day in Heaven. Amen!
