Psalm 100:1-2
 1 Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth.

   come before him with joyful songs.

Psalm 98:4-6
 4 Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth,
   burst into jubilant song with music;
5 make music to the LORD with the harp,
   with the harp and the sound of singing,
6 with trumpets and the blast of the ram’s horn—
   shout for joy before the LORD, the King.

Talking Points:  God wants us to sing praises to Him.  He is our joy, even when we are sad or angry.  God wants us to shout joyful praises to Him and share our joy with others.

Questions:  What is your favorite song to sing to God?  Where is your favorite place to sing praises to God?

Activity:  Let the child paint their new “noisemaker” (the paper towel roll).  Securely tape one end and put some rice into the tube.  Securely tape the other end.  Let the chid shake the noisemaker and sing songs.

Prayer:  Dear God, You are our source of joy and we want to always shout our praises to You. Thank You for giving us music and praises to sing to You. Amen!
