Materials Needed

stickers, construction paper, crayons, contact paper

Bible Verse

Psalm 100:1-5:

1 Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth.

 2 Worship the LORD with gladness;

   come before him with joyful songs.

3 Know that the LORD is God.

   It is he who made us, and we are his;

   we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.

 4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving

   and his courts with praise;

   give thanks to him and praise his name.

5 For the LORD is good and his love endures forever;

   his faithfulness continues through all generations.

Talking Points

God loves us. He made us and He protects us.  He will love us forever and ever. It will never stop.


Questions

Why does God love us?  How long will his love last?  How long is forever?  What’s the longest you have ever done something?  

Activity

Take a large, rectangular piece of construction paper and have the child decorate it.  Cover it with contact paper and use it as a placemat.  The child could make 3 or 4 of these over the next few days for a full set of placemats.

Prayer

God, your love endures forever. We are so thankful that you made us and that you love us forever.   Teach us to love more like you do.  Amen!
