Lesson Learned: God chooses us.
Materials Needed: tongs, 2 bowls, blocks
Bible Vers :
John 15:16
John 15:16
16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you.
Ephesians 1:4
4 For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight.
Talking Points: God wants each and every one of us to love Him. He knew you were going to be born way before your mommy or daddy or grandma or grandpa were even born. He chooses us to do good things in His name and He wants us all to choose to love Him too.
Questions: Does your mommy ever let you make choices about what you’ll eat for dinner? Does she let you choose what color shirt you will wear? Are you glad God chose you?
Activity:
Put the blocks in a bowl. Ask the child to choose which color of blocks they want to get out of the bowl. Then, using the tongs, let the child pick all the blocks of that same color out of the bowl and put it into the empty bowl.
We couldn’t find our blocks today so we used bath letters. |
Song to Sing: Jesus Loves the Little Children
Jesus loves the little children
All the children of the world
Red, brown, yellow
Black and white
They are precious in His sight.
Jesus loves the little children
Of the world.
Jesus died for all the children
All the children of the world
Red, brown, yellow
Black and white
They are precious in His sight.
Jesus died for all the children
Of the world.
Jesus rose for all the children
All the children of the world
Red, brown, yellow
Black and white
They are precious in His sight.
Jesus rose for all the children
Of the world.
Prayer: Dear God, we are so happy to be chosen by You! You are an awesome and amazing God and we want to do all things You’ve chosen for us to do. Amen!
