Lesson Learned: God wants to use you.
Materials Needed: blocks, masking tape, marker
Bible Verse:
Ephesians 2:21
19 Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household, 20 built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. 21 In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. 22 And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit.
Talking Points: You are special to God and He has a special plan for you. He also loves (insert names of some of your child’s friends) and has special plans for them too. He wants to use each and every one of you to glorify His name. I pray that someday you will let God live inside you and becoming part of the dwelling (or house) that God’s Holy Spirit lives in. When God lives inside you, you love other people, forgive other people, and want to please God in all that you do. God wants to use you as part of His special plan.
Questions: Does God have a special plan for you? How does it make you feel that God loves you and wants to use you in a special way?
Activity: On several short pieces of masking tape, write the names of your child, several of their friends names, and any relatives that the family may be close to. Then, put the tape on the blocks and build a big tower or house with the child. Each person in that house is important to God and God will use them each in a special way!
Prayer: Praise be to our God and Father! He has a special plan for each one of us. Thank You for wanting me to be a part of Your Holy Spirit’s dwelling place. Amen!
