Luke 12:7
7 Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.
Matthew 10:29-30
9 Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s care. 30 And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
Talking Points: God created each and every one of us. He knows everything about us, even how many hairs we have on our head.
Questions: What color is your hair? What color is you mommy’s (daddy’s, grandpa’s, sibling’s) hair? Do you or your mommy brush your hair every morning?
Activity:
Give the child a brush and let them brush their doll’s hair or their own hair. You may even want to help them count some hairs on their dolls hair and explain to them that there are too many hairs for us to count but not for God!
Song to Sing: Sing to the Tune of the Mulberry Bush
This is the way we brush our hair, brush our hair, brush our hair.
This is the way we brush our hair, so early in the morning.
God knows every hair on our head, hair on our head, hair on our head.
God knows every hair on our head, He knows everything.
Prayer: Dear God, You made us and You even know how many hairs we have on our head. Thank You for loving us so much and please always protect us in Your caring hands.
