Lesson Learned: We should earnestly seek God and His wisdom.
Materials Needed: 5 quarters
Bible Verse:
Proverbs 2:1-5
Proverbs 2:1-5
1 My son, if you accept my words
and store up my commands within you,
2 turning your ear to wisdom
and applying your heart to understanding—
3 indeed, if you call out for insight
and cry aloud for understanding,
4 and if you look for it as for silver
and search for it as for hidden treasure,
5 then you will understand the fear of the LORD
and find the knowledge of God.

Talking Points: Wisdom is knowing and fearing God. Wisdom is what helps us make good decisions. God tells us we should seek this wisdom, just like we look for coins or something on a treasure hunt. Knowing God is worth more than anything else we have here on Earth, and we should seek to know Him more every day.
Questions: Have you ever lost something before? Did you have to look for it? Was it hard to find?
Activity:
Hide the 5 quarters around a room and let your child “seek” them. Take turns letting the child hide the quarters and then you can find them.
Prayer: Dear Lord, we want to know You more. Help us to find You in everything. Amen!
