Lesson Learned: No one can snatch us for God’s hand.
Materials Needed: tongs, cotton balls, paper, pencil
Bible Verse:
Matthew 10:27-28
27 My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. 28 I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand.
Talking Points: God chose each one of us and wants all of us to follow Him. He knows each person’s name and what they are like. He sent His Son, Jesus, to teach us about Him and be a sacrifice for us so that we could one day go to Heaven to be with Him. When God calls our name, we will follow Him and no one else will be able to get us do anything else. As the Bible verse says, no one can snatch us (that is, take us) from His hand.
Questions: Are you glad God knows you by name? How does it make you feel to know that God has you in His hands?
Activity: Trace your hand on a piece of paper. Lay cotton balls outside the outline of your hand. Then, let the child pick up the cotton ball with tongs and put it into the hand.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for knowing my name. I want to follow You and ask You to protect me from all evil influences. Amen!
