Lesson Learned: We can see God in the things around us.
Materials Needed: brown paper bag, white piece of paper, scissors, gluestick
Bible Verse:
Romans 1:19-20
19 since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20 For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.
Talking Points: God is good. He is powerful and mighty and we can see Him in lots of things around us. We can see Him in the sunset, in the mountains, the snow, the leaves changing colors, everything that He has made! We may not be able to see God Himself but we can see His qualities in lots of other ways.
Questions: What are some things that make you think of God? Why?
Activity: Cut a cross out of the white piece of paper and glue it onto the brown paper bag. Let the child go around the house and put things in the bag that remind them of God’s goodness.
Prayer: Dear God, thank You for all the things that remind us of Your glory and goodness. We want You to be the first thing we think of when we wake up in the morning until we go to bed at night. Amen!
