Lesson Learned: God made us and determined our birth days way before we were ever born.
Materials Needed: glue, scissors, construction paper, markers
Bible Verse :
Psalm 139:13-16
Psalm 139:13-16
13 For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place,
when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my unformed body;
all the days ordained for me were written in your book
before one of them came to be.
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place,
when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my unformed body;
all the days ordained for me were written in your book
before one of them came to be.
Talking Points: God made you just the way you are. He knew when you were going to be born a long, long time ago. He made you inside your mommy’s tummy, forming you perfectly. He even knew what you would like, the color of your hair and your eyes, everything.
Questions: Who made you? What day is your birthday? If you have an older child, you may ask him/her if they remember when their brother or sister was in their mommy’s tummy.
Activity
Make a birthday card with your child for someone you know who has a birthday soon.
Prayer:
Dear Lord, thank you for planning our lives so very long ago, and making us fearfully and wonderfully. We are perfectly made, according to your plan. Amen!
